Microsoft MN-500 Wireless Base Station Performance

In my testing environment, the MN-500 is at one end of the house, and the computers that access it wirelessly are located in various rooms.  The minimum number of walls between the computers and the base station is two.  Signal Strength on all computers is "Excellent", and the speed is 11 Mbps.  This is not the actual thoughput, since my network uses 128 bit security.  The higher the security level, the lower your throughput will be, since part of the data stream is taken up for encryption of the data packets.
