© Doug Knox - 7/7/2001
This VB Script will allow you to change the threshold value for grouping Taskbar buttons in Windows® XP.
To use: Download the xp_taskbargrouping.vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double-click the xp_taskbargrouping.vbs file. You will be shown the current value, and prompted for a new one. Enter the new value and press OK. Click Cancel to exit with no changes. Log off/back on for the changes to take effect. Using a value of 2 will cause the Taskbar buttons to always group when there is more than one instance of a program open. This script can be viewed in Notepad or any text editor, as to the specific Registry key and value that are updated.
